Sunset Champagne

A Cocktail for Celebrating

Recipe Inspiration: Our take on the classic mimosa combines a citrus herbal tea and champagne, to create a unique beverage worth celebrating.

Serving Size: This recipe makes 2 champagne flutes to enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 heaping teaspoon Driftwood Tea Company loose Florida Sunset Rooibos tea or 1 Florida Sunset Rooibos tea bag (*Florida Sunset contains almonds, you can substitute any citrus or fruit tea you like for this recipe)
  • 8 ounces hot water (boiling) for steeping tea
  • 1 bottle of Champagne (we found sweeter champagne works best, but whatever you prefer will be perfect)
  • 1 slice of orange for garnish

Directions:

  • Heat 8 ounces of water to boil, remove from heat, add Florida Sunset tea bag (or 1 heaping teaspoon of Florida Sunset tea) to hot water.  Let steep for 5 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes, remove tea bag (or strain loose tea) and put in refrigerator to cool.  (Approximately 1 hour).
  • In champagne flute, pour 3 ounces of cold Florida Sunset tea.
  • Top glass with champagne.
  • Garnish with an orange slice and enjoy.
