Recipe Inspiration: This recipe came about from a tea that we designed, Lavender Vanilla White Tea. The calming sense created from lavender and the creamy white chocolate meld together, creating a delicious and almost intoxicating aroma and taste that you can't help but close your eyes and relax while you enjoy.
Ingredients:
2 1/2 Cups Self-Rising Flour
2 1/2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar
3/4 Cup White Chocolate Chip
2 TBSP Dried Lavender
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Add flour and vanilla to bowl, mix well.
- Add sugar, white chocolate chips, and lavender to flour mixture. Mix well.
- Add 2 cups of heavy whipping cream to mix, stir until mixed well.
- Add up to an additional ¼ - ½ cup of heavy cream slowly until dough is mixed well (dough will be hard to stir, and appear thick and sticky).
- Spray pan (we suggest a muffin or scone pan) with non-stick spray
- Fill pan with dough. Each section should be approximately 2/3 full of dough.
- Place in center of oven and bake 18-20 minutes, until top is golden brown.
- Remove scones from oven and let cool in pan for 5 minutes.
- Remove from pan (using a butter knife or fork) and enjoy warm.
*Optional – Vanilla Glaze Icing
- Mix ½ cup confection sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, and 1-2 tablespoons water in a small bowl.
- Mix well, removing all lumps.
- Use a piping bag, pour glaze into bag, cut tip and drizzle over scone (if you don’t have a piping bag, dip fork in glaze and drizzle over scone.
