Lavender White Chocolate Scones

A Little Bit of Heaven

Recipe Inspiration: This recipe came about from a tea that we designed, Lavender Vanilla White Tea.  The calming sense created from lavender and the creamy white chocolate meld together, creating a delicious and almost intoxicating aroma and taste that you can't help but close your eyes and relax while you enjoy.

Ingredients:

2 1/2 Cups Self-Rising Flour

2 1/2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream

1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar

3/4 Cup White Chocolate Chip

2 TBSP Dried Lavender

1 tsp. vanilla extract

 Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Add flour and vanilla to bowl, mix well.
  • Add sugar, white chocolate chips, and lavender to flour mixture. Mix well.
  • Add 2 cups of heavy whipping cream to mix, stir until mixed well.
  • Add up to an additional ¼ - ½ cup of heavy cream slowly until dough is mixed well (dough will be hard to stir, and appear thick and sticky).
  • Spray pan (we suggest a muffin or scone pan) with non-stick spray
  • Fill pan with dough.  Each section should be approximately 2/3 full of dough.
  • Place in center of oven and bake 18-20 minutes, until top is golden brown.
  • Remove scones from oven and let cool in pan for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from pan (using a butter knife or fork) and enjoy warm.

*Optional – Vanilla Glaze Icing

  • Mix ½ cup confection sugar, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, and 1-2 tablespoons water in a small bowl.
  • Mix well, removing all lumps.
  • Use a piping bag, pour glaze into bag, cut tip and drizzle over scone (if you don’t have a piping bag, dip fork in glaze and drizzle over scone.
